رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ awakened by his screaming. The person related the whole story and embraced Islam at the hands of Sayyiduna ‘Umar Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ. (Tafseer Kabeer, vol. 7, pp. 433)
It is narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Umar رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُمَا that his father Sayyiduna ‘Umar Farooq-e-A’zam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ used to wake up to offer Salah in the night and at the end of the night, he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ would awaken his households for Salah. Then he رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ would recite this verse:
وَ اۡمُـرۡ اَہۡلَکَ بِالصَّلٰوۃِ وَاصۡطَبِرۡ عَـلَیۡہَا ؕ لَا نَسۡـَٔلُکَ رِزۡقًا ؕ نَحۡنُ نَرۡزُقُکَ ؕ وَ الۡعَا قِبَۃُ لِلتَّقۡوٰی ﴿۱۳۲﴾
And command your household to establish prayer, and yourself be steadfast in it; We do not ask any sustenance from you; We will provide you sustenance; and the excellent result is for piety.
