The Fish of Madinah

‘Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Who can be the one who likes someone else’s wealth more than his own?’ The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied to it, ‘One’s own wealth is only that which the person has (by spending in the path of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ) utilized, and the remaining is the wealth of his inheritors.’

Selflessness of a terminally-ill patient!

Dear Islamic brothers! If only one becomes successful in securing Sawab-e-Jariyah (perpetual reward) in his own life by spending his wealth in the construction of Masajid and (in other such religious activities) by his wealth. Probably, someone who expects from his children that they will benefit him (by securing Sawab for him) is mistaken.

In the present era, when offspring do not even hesitate to spill blood of each other to grab their share of the inheritance, how can they be expected to put effort into ensuring the comfort of their deceased father! Develop a mindset of selflessness – it will benefit you in the Hereafter. Just have a look at the height of selflessness of our saints رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَالٰی who had greed for Sawab.

Hujjat-ul-Islam, Sayyiduna Imam Muhammad Bin Muhammad Bin Muhammad Ghazali عَـلَـیۡـهِ رَحْـمَـةُ الـلّٰـهِ الۡـوَالِی has quoted in Ihya-ul-‘Uloom: Sayyiduna Bishr Bin Haaris رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه was suffering from a terminal illness. Someone came to him and asked for help. He رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه removed his Qamees (long shirt) and gave it
