Ruswa-e-khalq ho gaye barbad ho gaye
Mardudon! Tum ko zillat her dawsara mili
Tum nay ujara Hadrat-e-Zahra ka bostan
Tum khud ujar gaye tumhayn yeh bad-Du’a mili
Dunya parastaun! Deen say munh mor ker tumhayn
Paayi hay kya Na’eem unho nay abhi saza
Daykhayn gey woh Jaheem mayn jis din saza mili
Sayyiduna Zayd Bin Arqam رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has stated, ‘When the Yazeedi comrades raised the refulgent head of Sayyiduna Imam Husayn رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ atop a spear and paraded through the streets of Kufa, at that time I was in upstairs of my house; when the refulgent head passed by me I heard the blessed head reciting the 9th verse of Surah Al-Kahf:
Did you come to know that the men of the cave and of the jungle’s side were a wonderful sign of Ours.
