Yazeed’s heart was fully engrossed in the fondness of this temporal world! He was greedy for popularity, authority and power. Forgetting the consequences, he stained his hands with the brutal murder of Sayyiduna Imam Husayn رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ and his blessed companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم.
