Marvels of Sayyiduna Imam Hussain رضی اللہ تعالٰی عنہ

It has been reported by Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ that the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘I expect from Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ that fast on ‘Aashura removes the sins of the previous year.’ (Sahih Muslim, pp. 590, Hadees 1162)

Eyes will not suffer pain or illness throughout the year

Hakeem-ul-Ummat, Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan عَـلَيْهِ رَحْـمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ الْـحَـنَّان has stated: If a person fasts on the 9th and 10th of Muharram he will get immense reward. If a person cooks good foods for his family, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ blessings shall prevail in the house for the whole year. It is better to cook Khichra[1] and to perform Fatihah for Sayyiduna Imam Husayn رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ (this has been proven to be very beneficial). On this date (i.e. the 10th of Muharram), if one performs Ghusl, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ he will remain safe from illnesses for the whole year because on this day the water of Zamzam reaches all waters. (Ruh-ul-Bayan, vol. 4, pp. 142)

The Prophet of Rahmah, the Intercessor of the Ummah, the Owner of Jannah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated, ‘Whoever applies Ismid kohl to his eyes on the day of ‘Aashura, his eyes will never suffer ache.’ (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 3, pp. 367, Hadees 3797)

[1] Khichra is a food prepared by extensive cooking of meat with rice, wheat, maize, pulses and other grains such that a homogenized mixture is formed.
