2One who wears clothing and then recites:
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ الَّذِیْ کَسَانِیْ ھٰذَا وَ رَزَقَنِیْہِ مِنْ غَیْرِ حَوْلٍ مِّنِّیْ وَ لَا قُـوَّ ۃٍ [1]
His previous and future sins will be forgiven.
(Sunan Abi Dawood, vol. 4, pp. 59, Hadees 4023)
3Despite having the means to wear good clothing, if a person avoids them due to humility, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will make him wear the attire of Karamah [Heavenly dress].’ (Sunan Abi Dawood, vol. 4, pp. 326, Hadees 4778)
4The sacred attire of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَالٰى عَـلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَـلَّم was usually of white cloth.
(Kashf-ul-Iltibas fis-Tihbab-il-Libas, pp. 36)
5Clothing must be obtained by Halal earnings. No Salah, whether Fard or Nafl, is accepted if offered in the clothing obtained by Haraam earnings.
(Kashf-ul-Iltibas fis-Tihbab-il-Libas, pp. 41)
6It is narrated, ‘One who ties his turban whilst sitting, or wears his trousers or pyjama whilst standing, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will inflict on him such a disease that has no treatment.’
(Kashf-ul-Iltibas fis-Tihbab-il-Libas, pp. 39)
[1] Translation: All praise is for Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) Who gave me this garment to wear and granted it to me without my strength and power.
