Sīnaĥ tayrī sunnat ka Madīnaĥ banay Aaqā صَلَّی اللّٰہ تعالٰی علیہ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم
Jannat may pařausī mujĥay tum apnā banana
O Master! For your Sunnaĥ, may my heart become an abode
In your proximity in Paradise, grant me a beautiful home
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الْحَبِیۡب صَلَّى الـلّٰـہُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
1. The Zulfayn of the Peace of our heart and mind, the Most Generous and Kind, the Prophet of mankind صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would at times be the length of halfway down the blessed ears.
At times, to the level of the earlobe,
And sometimes, would extend to kiss the blessed shoulders. (Ash-Shamāil al-Muḥammadīya lil-Tirmiżī, pp. 18 & 34-35)
From time to time, we should act upon each of these three Sunnaĥs. So sometimes, we should keep our Zulfayn to the level of halfway down the ear, sometimes to the level of the earlobe, and at times up to the shoulders.
The Sunnaĥ of keeping the Zulfayn up to the shoulders is often more difficult for our Nafs, nevertheless everybody should act upon this Sunnaĥ at least once in his life. However, care should be taken to ensure that hair does not go below the shoulders. The length of hair can be correctly
