· I intend to perform Wuḍū in order to keep the commandment of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.[1]
· I will recite ‘بِسۡـمِ اللّٰهِ وَ الۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ’ before commencing.
· Following the Sunnaĥ I will use a Miswāk to clean my teeth and rinse my mouth to attain purity for Żikr and Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī.
· I will avoid Makrūĥ acts and C wasting water.
· I will perform all Farāiḍ, Sunan, and Mustaḥabbāt (desirable) deeds. C I will recite Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī whilst washing each part.
· I will recite this Du’ā[2] after Wuḍū. C Upon the completion of Wuḍū, whilst looking towards the sky, I will recite Kalimaĥ Shaĥādaĥ and Sūraĥ Al-Qadr.
· In the end, I will repent of my sins for spiritual Wuḍū.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
[1] In Ḥanafī jurisprudence Wuḍū is valid even without the intention but there will be no reward for it.
[2] Du’ā: اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِیْ مِنَ التَّوَّابِيْنَ وَاجْعَلْنِیْ مِنَ الْمُتَـطَهِّرِيْنَ Translation: O Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ)! Make me amongst those who repent abundantly and include me amongst pure people. (Sunan-ut-Tirmiżī, vol. 1, pp. 121, Ḥadīš 55)
