·
Wherever
possible I will walk, keeping my gaze lowered.
· I will avoid looking at women and advertisement boards displaying women without Shar’ī Purdah.
· When I see a Masjid I will recite Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī and when I enter a market I will recite the Du’ā[1] of entering a market.
· On the way, if I see a piece of paper with any sacred writing on it, I will pick it up and keep it somewhere at a higher place respectfully.
· I will make Salām and shake hands with Muslims.
· I will reply to the Salām of Muslims.
[1] The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: Whoever recites this Du’ā when entering a market:
لَاۤ اِلٰہَ اِلَّا اللّٰہُ وَحْدَہٗ لَا شَرِیْكَ لَہٗ ط لَہُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَہُ الْحَمْدُ یُحْیِیْ وَ یُمِیْتُ وَ ھُوَ حَیٌّ لَّا یَمُوْتُ بِیَدِہِ الْخَیْرُ وَ ھُـوَ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ
(Translation: There is no God except Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ); He is alone; He has no partner, the kingdom is
His, all praise is only for Him. He gives life and death; He is Alive and will
not die; in His hand is all goodness and He has power to do anything.)
Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will grant him 100,000 virtues, remove 100,000 sins, raise his 100,000 ranks and make a palace for him in Heaven. (Tirmiżī, vol. 5, pp. 270, Ḥadīš 3439, 3440)
