· I will leave the Shimlaĥ hanging according to the Sunnaĥ.
· In order to protect my blessed ‘Imāmaĥ and topee from oil stains, I will act upon the Sunnaĥ of using cloth over the head under the ‘Imāmaĥ according to the need.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
· I will apply fragrance because Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم like it.[1]
· I will recite ‘بِسۡـمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحۡـمٰنِ الرَّحِيۡمِ’ and apply fragrance with the intention of acting upon the Sunnaĥ.
· I will recite Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī when I smell the fragrance. C With the intention of thanking Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ for this blessing I will recite ‘اَلۡحَمۡدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ’. C I will bring delight to angels and Muslims.
· If pleasant fragrance strengthens my memory, I will use this strength to understand religious rulings. (If needed you can also make the intentions of showing reverence
[1] Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ is Ṭayyib (Pure) and likes ‘Ṭīb’ (scent), He عَزَّوَجَلَّ is Clean and likes cleanliness. (Sunan-ut-Tirmiżī, vol. 4, pp. 365, Ḥadīš 3808) The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم liked scents and pleasant smells; he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم used them himself and advised [people] to use scent.
