Questions and Answers about Islamic Veil

Answer: A ‘Ma’tuwĥ’ is someone who has less intelligence, weak thinking power, at times he talks like an intelligent individual but sometimes like a person who is not fully conscious, his lack of  brain power has not reached the limit of insanity, and he does not pointlessly hit or swear at people. By Sharī’aĥ, he is considered the same as a sensible child. (Fatāwā Razawiyyaĥ, vol. 19, pp. 636)

Is it permissible for a woman to fly alone in an aeroplane?

Question: If a woman’s husband or Maram is in another city or country and wants her to visit him, then can she travel alone in a bus, car, train, ship or aeroplane alone?

Answer: No.

Question: In this case would she not be disobedient to her husband?

Answer: No. Amīr-ul-Mu`minīn, Maulā-e-Kāināt, ‘Alī-ul-Murtaā, the lion of Allah کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَالٰی وَجۡھَـهُ الۡـکَرِیۡم reported this grand adīš of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم: لَا طَاعَةَ فِيۡ مَعۡصِيَةِ اللّٰهِ اِنَّمَا الطَّاعَةُ فِي الۡمَعۡرُوۡفِ There is no obedience in disobeying Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ; obedience is only in pious actions. (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, pp. 1023, Ḥadīš 1840)

The famous commentator, akīm-ul-Ummat, Muftī Amad Yār Khān عَـلَيْهِ رَحْـمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ الْـحَـنَّان explains the word ‘مَعۡرُوۡف ‘permissible actions’ in this sacred adīš: ‘مَعۡرُوۡف[Ma’rūf] is anything permitted by Islamic law; ‘مَعۡصِيَت’ [Ma’iyat] is anything prohibited by Islamic law.

Can a woman stroll in her street for fitness?

Question: If a doctor advises a woman to walk for a specific amount of time everyday but this is not possible for her inside her home then what should she do?
