Answer: Yes. For example, if a girl used to be taught the Holy Quran in her childhood by a non-Maḥram man and she has now reached puberty, then it is Farḍ for her to observe veil with him. A’lā Ḥaḍrat, Imām-e-Aĥl-e-Sunnat, scholar of Sharī’aĥ, guide of Ṭarīqaĥ, Ash-Shāĥ Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān عَـلَيْهِ رَحْمَةُ الـرَّحْمٰن stated: As far as observing veil is concerned, there is no difference between a teacher, non-teacher, scholar, non-scholar, Murshid.

Question: Does a female disciple have to observe veil with her spiritual guide?
Answer: Yes. A woman must observe veil with her non-Maḥram spiritual guide. My master A’lā Ḥaḍrat, Imām-e-Aĥl-e-Sunnat, scholar of Sharī’aĥ, guide of Ṭarīqaĥ, Ash-Shāĥ Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān عَـلَيْهِ رَحْمَةُ الـرَّحْمٰن stated: In terms of observing veil, the verdict for a non-Maḥram Shaykh [spiritual guide] is the same as for any other non-Maḥram man. Question: Can an Islamic sister kiss the hand of her spiritual guide?
Answer: It is Ḥarām for an Islamic sister to kiss the hand of her non-Maḥram spiritual guide. If the spiritual guide does not prohibit this, then he is a sinner too.
